Backyard ADUs joined the City of Boston’s weeklong ADU Showcase at City Hall Plaza, where visitors could step inside a full-scale ADU built by our team. At under 500 square feet, the home offered a firsthand look at how thoughtful design can make a small space feel comfortable, functional, and complete.
The event helped Boston residents explore how accessory dwelling units can create flexible housing options for multigenerational living, aging in place, and other changing household needs. It also included informational sessions and an ADU Resource Fair connecting homeowners with professionals who could answer questions about design, financing, permitting, and construction.
We were proud to share one of our homes at City Hall Plaza and help residents better understand what an ADU can look and feel like, as well as what it takes to move from an initial idea to a completed home.
